As of Saturday, November 21, 2009, this site is home to about 2646510 web pages describing 1,105,424 plants, 1,296,927 animals, 16,112 Bacteria, 17,562 Chromista, 193,639 Fungi, and 16,057 Protozoa. The database from which we generate all of this contains 7.3 gigabytes * of primary data. Pages contain 310,621 photos taken by 1,403 photographers, 1,471 sound recordings, and definitions of 236,201 terms, plus 104,997 large photos (170.4 gigabytes ) that can be zoomed and panned.

We have also created 173,245 pages with text, photos, and maps for taxonomic groups from Domain down to Genus. Finding all of this can be fast, because about 3 million pages are indexed for soundex searches.

We have gathered a total of about 127715643 field observations from 28,481 data sets and 1,547 data providers which show latitude and longitude, from which we have generated 256,285 State Maps, 1,142,479 Country Maps, 450,687 Google maps showing up to 200 sightings each, and 450,687 Google Earth maps showing all sightings.
