Characteristics of Habitat

Range and Population:

Alophoixus finschii occurs in the Sundaic lowlands, from extreme south peninsular Thailand, Sabah, Sarawak and Peninsular Malaysia, Kalimantan and Sumatra (one record), Indonesia and Brunei, in lowland and hill forest to 760 m. Forest destruction in the Sundaic lowlands of Indonesia has been so extensive that all primary formations are expected to disappear by 2010, and the situation is little different in Thailand and Malaysia, but the species's ability to persist in secondary forest implies that it is not immediately threatened.[1]
Countries:Native:
Brunei Darussalam; Indonesia; Malaysia; Thailand
