Habitat

Biome: Terrestrial

Ecology: The species previously occupied Acacia shrubland areas and grassy woodland in the semi-arid regions of eastern Australia. Based on surveys carried out during the 1980s, the species showed a preference for Brigalow areas and the larger alluvial flats of the Dingo region. Investigations of habitat use on Taunton National Park revealed nocturnal feeding ranges between pasture and young Brigalow regrowth areas. However, during drought periods, wallabies are forced to forage further into open pastures.[1]
