Habitat
Occurs in clear lagoon and seaward reefs from 0.5 to at least 30 m.
Typically found in water with a depth of 0 to -5,455 meters (0 to -17,897 feet).[1]

Feeds exclusively on Acropora polyps.
Behavior
Found in pairs or small groups and nests near bases of dead corals , often on clumps of algae.
