Habitat

Biome: Terrestrial

Ecology: It inhabits a variety of forest-types, usually centred in humid forest and sometimes extending into closed-canopy scrub during the wet season4,8. It feeds on worms, snails and lizards7. Pairs occupy exclusive territories of 10-28 ha and fledge 0.9 juveniles per year in Rivière Bleue8. Birds survive over 30 years in captivity, and at least 15 in the wild10.[1]
