Physical Description
Size/Age/Growth
This medium-sized bear can weigh up to 400 lbs , with females being a bit smaller.
Habitat
Forested areas around hills and mountains.
Ecology: Tropical
rainforest and oak forests
are ideal habitats
for this species.[1]

Biology
Diet
Omnivorous , feeding on small mammals, fish, and isects, but primarily plants , especially fruits and nuts.
Reproduction
Females give birth to 1-4 cubs after a 7 month gestation .
