Habitat
Ecology: Found at 1,000 m
altitude
, facing extreme sandblasting winds. The summit receives considerable condensation
from fog. The mountain is completely isolated (Williamson 1995). Probably occurs in quartzite as the mountain seems to be made of this, although this species was not spotted on a recent field
trip
.[2]
