Genus Oligonema

Sporocarps usually densely crowded. Peridium membranous. Capillitium of simple or branched elaters, free from the base and capillitium and not forming a network , faintly decorated with spirals and sometimes warts and/or rings . Spore-mass yellow to ochre .

Physical Description

Species Oligonema dancoii

Sporocarps globose to obovate , sessile, orange-yellow, 0.4-0.65 mm diam. Peridium evanescent at maturity. Columella absent. Capillitium sparse or absent, elaters 2-2.5 µm diam. Spore-mass golden yellow. Spores globose, broken banded-reticulate, 15.5-29 µm diam.
