Notes
Bott (1970) included this species in the subfamily Liotelphusinae of the Gecarcinucidae. Henderson (1812) described Vanni malabarica [as a Paratelphusa (Liotelphusa)] based on specimens from the Cochin State Forests in Kerala.[1].
