Bott (1970b) assigned V. nilgiriensis (Roux, 1931) and V. pusilla (Roux, 1931) to Gubernatoriana Bott, 1969 [type species: Paratelphusa (Globitelphusa) gubernatoris Alcock, 1909]. Bahir and Yeo recognised this taxon as V. nilgirensis. [1].
