Habitat

Typically found at an altitude of 0 to 2,911 meters (0 to 9,551 feet).[1]

Ecology: This species has been recorded from a wide range of habitats including wet and dry sclerophyll forest , shrubland, low shrub woodland, mixed temperate woodland, and mallee (Tidemann and Law 2008), as well as remnant vegetation in farmland and in urban areas (L. Lumsden pers. comm. ). It roosts in tree hollows and buildings, with colonies of up to 100 animals recorded (Tidemann and Law 2008). Females give birth to a single young after a gestation period of about three months (Tidemann and Law 2008).[2].
