(Gr. anêr, andros: man; oikos: house) (pl. androecia) The stamens taken collectively; the male reproductive organs of a plant; a collective term applied to all structures of the stamen whorl or whorls in the flower of a seed plant; the antheridia and surrounding bracts (perigonium or involucre).
