(Gr. the letter delta; eidô: to ressemble) Shaped like the Greek letter delta; triangular in outline with the sides of about equal length, i.e. like an equilateral triangle; a low triangle attached at the middle of the wide part, rather than at the point; e.g. the stipe leaves of Hypnodendron dendroides. Syn. deltoidal.
