(Gr. dikhasis: division by half, from dis: twice; kazo: separate) (pl. dichasia) A cymose inflorescence with opposite branching below the flower which terminates each axis. A cymose inflorescence in which each axis produces two opposite or subopposite lateral axes. Cf. monochasium.
